Information About the Minyan
The Egalitarian Minyan is a self-run organization, formed in July 2007 by the merger of the Egalitarian Minyan of Rogers Park with Ner Tamid - Ezra Habonim Congregation. The Minyan is run by its members for the benefit of its members. We call ourselves the Egalitarian Minyan because men and women participate equally in our services, and we have a non-hierarchical structure. We are affiliated with the Conservative movement, but we are an independent group with our own structure and agenda.
The only way to tell if the Egalitarian Minyan is the right place for you is come and experience one of our services. You are welcome to join us any Shabbat morning beginning at 9:15 a.m. at 7350 N. California, at Sherwin. in Chicago (between Touhy and Howard).
